A Quiet Cosmos

A Quiet Cosmos

It was one of those quiet mornings, the air still cool even as the sun started to climb. I'd been out exploring, just soaking in the calm before the day truly woke up, listening to the distant chirps. That's when I saw them – a whole patch of yellow cosmos, just glowing. This one bloom, though, it just caught my eye. So perfectly formed, so bright against the soft, blurred greens behind it. I spent a good while just watching it, waiting for the breeze to die down for a second, for the light to hit it just right. The sun was gentle, bringing out every petal without being harsh. It's funny how often the 'big' wildlife shots are what people expect, but sometimes, it's a single flower that truly holds you captive. That stillness, that pure, simple beauty. It reminds you that the wild isn't just about grand landscapes or rare animals; it's everywhere, in every tiny, perfect thing if you just take the time to see it.
