Finding Yellow
By Madan Shrestha

It was one of those hazy mornings out in the foothills, the air still cool even as the sun started to climb. I was moving slowly, listening for any rustle, hoping to catch a glimpse of something moving through the tall grass. The usual search, you know? But then, there it was – a splash of pure, bright yellow standing so vibrantly against all the greens. A cosmos, just swaying gently in the barely-there breeze. I just stopped and watched it for a long while. The world felt so quiet around it, just the distant hum of insects. Sometimes, you set out with a specific idea in mind, but nature has other plans. This little flower reminded me that beauty isn't always about the grandest creature or the wildest landscape. It's often found in the simplest, most perfect moments if you just take the time to truly see them.
