Urban Watcher

It was a mild afternoon, the city's usual symphony a gentle hum in the distance. I wasn't on any particular mission, just letting my feet guide me through a quieter corner when I noticed this rock dove. It was perfectly still on that old brick wall, framed by a tangle of urban greenery. The light was gentle, highlighting the subtle blues and greys in its feathers. For a long moment, it just sat there, observing its world with an intense, calm focus. I found myself mirroring its stillness, just watching it watch, sharing a quiet breath in the midst of the everyday hustle. It’s these simple, unscripted moments that often stay with me the longest. A beautiful reminder that connection is everywhere, if we just take a moment to truly look.
